High School Team Lead

Dear Parents,

I am excited to teach English II and English IV this year! I am looking forward to using the Project-Based Learning model with our sophomores and seniors and can’t wait to see our students dive in to our projects!

I am so thankful to begin my fifth year with my LPS family. I graduated from the University of North Texas (Go Mean Green!) with a BA in English literature, with minors in French and technical writing in 2008. I worked in various positions at the university from my junior year until I accepted the position at LPS, except for a brief stint somewhere in the middle, when I worked as a buyer for a grocery store chain. I completed my MEd in Teaching in 2020.

I met my wonderful husband, Aldo, when we were college freshman at a UNT football game. Together, we have a bright, energetic eight year-old daughter named Elena, and a sweet, happy-go-lucky son named Jean-Luc, who is four. We loyally attend all the UNT football games in the fall (yes, I’m aware of the record) and cheer loudly at every game.

I am really looking forward to building a relationship with my students and their families. Teams work best when everyone has a common goal and I know that our goal is to help your student become an active, productive, and knowledgeable member of society. We are going to make a great team!
