Degrees and Certifications:
What an amazing journey we get to embark on together! It is truly an honor to teach 6th grade Math and Teen Leadership. For over 10 years, I worked in the financial industry where I trained colleagues and applied mathematical concepts that I get to bring to the classroom. I am looking forward to expanding my students' existing knowledge of mathematical concepts. I have always enjoyed working with children, but I discovered my passion for educating children while volunteering for various organizations where I have served children and parents for over 5 years. It brings me so much joy to contribute to a child’s development and to see them reach their goals.
Regarding my educational background, I have earned a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Finance with a minor in Latin American studies from the University of Texas at Dallas. Also, I am certified to teach mathematics to grades 4-8, Gifted and Talented, and English as a Second Language.
One of my absolute favorite activities is spending quality time with my family and friends. I, especially, enjoy having fun with my fabulous 5-year-old daughter, Arie. She is the best gift I have ever received. A few other activities I enjoy are listening to music, exercising, reading, and exploring the world.
It is such a pleasure to be able to partner with 6th grade families! This will be a successful year of achieving learning goals and leadership goals!
