I'm Lynda Delsol. This is my sixth year at LPS and fifth year teaching 5th grade Social Studies, English Language Arts and Communications. Time flies when you're having fun! I believe children are fires to be ignited not buckets to be filled. Thank you for the privilege of igniting the flames of curiosity and learning in your children.
I graduated from the University of Illinois with a degree in Sociology. As a home school mom, adjunct instructor at Southern Methodist University, and former corporate trainer, I have spent the last 30+ years in education, helping others discover and develop their greatness. I am passionate about life and learning!
My other passion is health and nutrition. I am a 30+ year vegetarian/vegan, a PMA certified Pilates Instructor and Registered Yoga Teacher. I love reading, triathlons and yoga. I believe laughter and fun are a part of good health and nutrition along with dark chocolate and malt vinegar and salt potato chips! Just in case you want to know some trivia about me . . my favorite color is Orange ;-) I get to share my passions with my husband, Tony, our three children and two bonus children (via marriage). I get the privilege of being Coco (grandmother) to five! We are long time members of Elevate Life Church and serve on several teams. We enjoy family outings and just hanging out together.
It is an honor to be a part the LPS family! I look forward to working with your children; learning, growing and leading together!
Tutoring is available - Tuesday and Thursday mornings, 7:45-8:10 and Thursday afternoons 3:45-4:30
Degrees and Certifications:
Hello, I'm Traci Weaver and this is my second year at LPS and my 12th year of teaching. It has been my privilege to get to work with Mrs. Delsol for another year and we both love spreading our passion of humanities to our students. I graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a bachelor’s of Science in Secondary Social Studies and Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Texas at Arlington. I have taught in Public School, Private School and now this lovely Charter School and have learned many things about teaching and I will continue to learn as I grow in my field of study.
I am originally am from Oklahoma, where I was born and raised, and will forever be a Sooner! I married my high school sweet heart; he is a teacher as well at Legacy Christian Academy. We have two sons, Oliver who is 4 and Watson who is 7 weeks at the start of school. We love to play outside and fill our home with LOTS of laughter.
I truly have a passion for the humanities and believe that combing the history and English is the best way for our students to learn. As human beings we cannot separate ourselves from the past, we must examine it through the writings and thoughts of people who experienced it! We must also see the daily lives through studied novels using historical fiction to understand the social implications of our past.
