LPS provides a full continuum of services to meet the needs of eligible students. Our focus is for students to receive general education instruction with non-disabled peers to the maximum extent appropriate. For more information about our programs, contact the Special Education Director, Dana Camp.
What kind of services are available?

If your child qualifies for services, a multidisciplinary  team will meet to decide what program best fits the individual needs of your child. This team will include:

    ● school administrator
    ● parent(s) or guardian
    ● evaluation personnel
    ● teacher(s)
    ● student

The team will review evaluation information, discuss eligibility, identify the areas of need for specialized instruction, including related services such as speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, or counseling. If the team determines your child is eligible for special education services, they will work together to develop an Individualized Education Program (IEP).

How much do these services cost?
LPS is committed to providing a free, appropriate public education for your child.
Special education services are provided free of charge.
